The Deens Online

Not your ordinary Filipino-Christian family.

Next scheduled trips

From the looks of it, the Amanpulo West Villa trip I took in December isn’t the last one I’ll be going on. ;) I’m going to Boracay in a bit, and Cathy will probably be flying to Malaysia in July.

Should be interesting to see which hotels we’re going to stay in this time around. I hope to try out the Paradise Garden; the reviews are pretty good.

Veggietales now available locally – for P150!

If you’re looking for great Christmas gifts for little children, Viva Video has brought in two titles of the Big Idea!-produced Veggietales videos. This is spectacular news, considering that the previous franchisee pulled out the successful 3D animation series a few years back.

I purchased the holiday-themed The Toy That Saved Christmas, and Nathan absolutely loved it. Prior to the release of this, his last Veggietales fix came with Jonah: A Veggietales Movie, which, unfortunately, was 1) pirated, and 2) scratched pretty quickly, as can be expected of DVDs that are watched daily and popped in the player by grubby two-year-old hands. The other title, Where’s God When I’m S-S-Scared, Nathan already has (although it’s scratched beyond recognition).

So if you’re looking for a great gift for Christian kids, look no further, because Veggietales is back in the Philippines! Woohoo! Thanks, Viva!

Guess which family’s about to expand?

It’s like raining blessings in here.

On a normal day, this would be, by far, our biggest headline, but today, it becomes our world’s best opening line: The Deens are featured in Inq7.net’s Blog Addicts section! Thank you, Joey Alarilla, and everyone at Inq7.net, the only real Philippine website worth visiting on a daily basis. Hahaha. ;)

Welcome, everyone, who’s surfed into our humble online home. I don’t know whether it’s fortuitous or what, but here’s the main dish of this particular entry.

The three Deens are about to become four.

That’s right. Last night, Cathy and I determined that she is with child, and eight months from now, Nathan is going to graduate from shoti (younger brother) to ahya (elder brother)!

Isn’t God spectacular? I mean, isn’t He just so, knock your socks off, bless-you-when-you-don’t-expect-it, marvelous? Wow. Thanks, Lord; ang bait po Ninyo. Sana po girl. Hehehe. Sige na, Lord.

Anyway, welcome, visitors from www.Inq7.net. Forgive the giddiness, and have yourselves a fun time. And, oh, feel free to visit the following great blogs too: www.GannsDeen.com, www.makatibrunchclub.blogspot.com, and www.livethelifemagazine.com.
